With Amber’s mix of textiles and prints, Amber Interiors has pulled off California Eclectic in a way only a professional can.
This room, all of this. I’m researching looks for my new California house, and what better than California Eclectic. We have decided that the master bedroom will be one of the first spaces to finish. After all, we are doing all the work, we should reap the rewards first! Like putting on your own oxygen mask first? Ha! I believe a relaxing space is definitely an “oxygen mask” for your sanity. Especially in the middle of a remodel with 5 kids.
A few thoughts on this look a like:
I love the whole look, but obviously without her designer connections, and with a limited budget, I had to make some substitutions and some DIYs.
The tapestry on the headboard: I honestly would just forgo this one. I couldn’t find one with the rich colors that are found in hers. I think the room would look amazing without it. Maybe just bring in some art to add those colors in above the bed?
Bench: the cushion for the bench will have to be custom to match the size. I found this amazing pattern that is actually a table runner on Etsy. Should be a fairly simple DIY cushion.
The Pillows: The stripes is a pillow found for a reasonable price on Etsy. The others are fabrics for another DIY pillow covers.
Don’t forget to head over to Amber Interiors website and see the whole room. The original room has amazing windows and a seating area. AND…she did their whole house!
